Work Day Report For

3rd November 2012.

This weekend was a Cab-It weekend, so the team opened up the train to the public.

Continued work on TC2, Tim found out why the turnbine starters wouldn't fire (Watch next time with luck).

When you arrived at Shildon, the weather was not good, but I managed to take this rather nice photograph.

A nice shot taken through the mist.

E train opened up and already taking visitors.

A member of the public visiting the cab of E train, and David on hand to answer any questions.

People waiting for there turn to access ther cab.  It was actually very busy.

We had between 250 - 300 through the cab during the day, and people seemed very interested in the trains history.

Sometimes, people had to wait a long time for there turn.

Two of the instrumentation racks fitted in TC2, powered up for the first time.

Two of the newly fitted amplifiers switched on, there first test in a while.

Tim, fitting the new(ish) direction selector in the cab of PC2.

Not an easy job as there are several types on cable connector to deal with.

Just a nice shot at the end of a productive/busy day.

These are the two repatriated Gresley A4s before there cosmetic restoration.

They did not look as good in real life!!

Next Workday is 1st December 2012.
