The First work day in more than 5 years took place on
Tuesday 13th July 2010.
PC2 had its ad-hoc support woods removed and two new anti-tilt supports fitted.
This enables work on the train to re-start as it is now classed as safe from halling hard over.

First we had to make the area safe, just in case something didnt go to plan.
First the joint module between PC2 and TC1 had to supported incase it came off its tracks.
Notice the support runner in the top left of the picture.
As PC2 was leaning to its negative side we were able to install the right hand side supports.
Then we jacked PC2 onto its positive side (left) until it was touching the right hand supports just fitted.
This allowed us to fit the supports for the positive side of PC2.
This required some light engineering................A LUMP HAMMER!!!!
The the lifting jack was let down until the train settled on a level, the first time in more than 5 years.
To cover the supports, we re-placed the tilt warning signs, one day, this will be true!!
As a finishing touch, we re-fitted the nose draw bar cover, the first time in a very very long time.
Doesnt she look fantastic!!
Now the safety work was been completed, watch out in the coming months for work and event dates.
Brilliant job by everyone, thank you all so very much.
